Orientation
DepartmentsAbout Orientation
Orientation at Nichols College is designed to welcome new students into our community, helping them transition smoothly into college life. This overnight program hosted in June, features three different sessions to choose from, and allows students to get familiar with our community. This engaging and informative program provides incoming students with the opportunity to meet classmates, connect with faculty and staff, and familiarize themselves with campus resources. Through interactive sessions, team-building activities, and informational workshops, students gain valuable insights into academics, student life, and support services. Orientation also allows students to explore their new home, get answers to important questions, and feel confident and prepared for their first semester. Most importantly, it’s a chance to start building lifelong friendships and a strong sense of belonging at Nichols.
Orientation 2025
This June 2025, there will be three Orientation sessions offered for incoming students of the Class of 2029.

Session II- June 16-17, 2025

Families and Guests
Families and Guests are welcomed to attend day programming during the first day of every session or they can extend their visit and elect to stay overnight in our apartment style suite. We have an extensive and fun schedule of events for families and guests that wish to stay overnight.
Some featured events and programs for our Family & Guest overnight program include:
- Three meals including a visit to the Bison Den, our college run bar and restaurant
- Private room and bathroom, and shared common space and kitchen in the Copper Beech Apartments
- Attend campus favorite events, such as Bingo and fire pits and s’mores
- Meet with campus partners to learn more about academics and the role of a “college parent or friend”
