Student Leaders in Student Life
Student LifeResident Assistants
Resident Assistants (RAs) are front line helpers on staff. RAs are dedicated to learning about their residents so that we can help make their stay in our hall a pleasant one. RAs plan programs/events to build community in the residence halls, and they are trained to help mediate and resolve resident issues. RAs also enforce policy and serve in an on-call duty rotation to ensure the safety and security of the residence Halls.
Orientation Leaders
Each year, Student Involvement selects student leaders to help welcome the incoming class during Orientation. For June Orientation, these roles include Student Orientation Leaders, Family & Guest Orientation Leaders, and Logistics Orientation Leaders. These stipend positions require OLs to return to campus for the month of June. Additionally, two graduating seniors have the opportunity to return as Coordinators. Orientation Leaders in the summer will assist with Winter Orientation, which welcomes first year students back to campus early for fun and social events. Stipend opportunities are also available for Orientation Leaders to assist with Fall Orientation and Move-In of new students.
