Student Involvement

About Student Involvement

As Nichols students learn and train for their careers, they also thrive in a tight-knit community. Whether they live on campus or off, our students enjoy activities that express who they are and what they love to do.

Campus life is a key part of how our students grow into confident leaders. It’s also all kinds of fun.

The Nichols College Student Involvement Office works to maximize the personal growth and development of our students by facilitating a variety of opportunities for Involvement (Link to Student Orgs), Service and leadership through co-curricular activities. Activities in organizations, Student Government, Campus Recreation, service learning and a varied event calendar, creates a vibrant and purposeful college community where you can make a difference and develop meaningful relationships with others, learn about yourself and develop life skills. Service to the college community through student activities is personally rewarding and provides opportunities to promote change on campus and explore new interests.

If you have questions about Student Involvement, please contact us at Involvement@Nichols.edu or 508-213-2113.

The heart of Nichols campus life is the Fels Student Center. Students come here for freshly made food and gourmet coffee. Student organizations meet and do business here and the trading room offers dual-monitor work stations and Bloomberg terminals. On any given day students can find events like Wicked Wednesday, Bingo, Movie Nights, Give Aways and more.

The Fels Student Center is home to Jazzman’s Café, WOW Wingery, Tres Habaneros, lounge space, the campus bookstore, seminar rooms, officers and more. Student Involvement is the office that is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the building.

The Fels Center houses the following offices:

  • Community Standards
  • Career and Professional Development Office
  • Dean of Students

In addition to professional Staff, Student Involvement employs students as Student Center Managers. These students are responsible for the operations of the building during the day and night; they are available to answer questions and assist with technology and events. Fels Student Center Managers also host events in the Student Center each week. Check out the bulletin boards on Main Street and in Jazzman’s for information on weekly events.
